Remote Learning
What is remote learning?
- Remote learning is when children are not actually in the school building but are accessing their learning from home.
- It can be online or paper based or a mixture of both.
- It can be when a class, bubble or the whole school is closed or it might be just one child isolating.
- Please see below for information about what remote learning looks like in our school.
- If you have any questions, as always please just ask: email, message on class dojo or phone.
What does remote learning actually look like?
1. For online learning we use CLASS DOJO to communicate learning tasks with you and your child.
This is an example of Class Dojo and what the teacher might put on the CLASS STORY:

It is important that you go on the portfolio area on Class Dojo. If you aren't sure how to please click on this link which will get you started: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3XCXSBHbMIo
2. For paper based learning we create work packs closely linked to what children are learning in school. Teachers then refer to these paper packs on Class Dojo Portfolios. We either post or arrange collection for these.
This is an example of one of the paper packs that Reception sent home:
Where can I find more help and support with remote learning?
Have a look on the CLASS PAGES and OUR EYFS sections of our website for lots of activities and links. These pages are linked to the topics in school and offer help and advice.
