What is enrichment?

Take a look at the rucksack below - this is how we, at Cotmanhay Infant and Nursery School, explain enriching our curriculum.

We have a carefully planned curriculum in place and we are always updating it so that it's the best for our children.

We then add to this with activities, clubs, events, visits and much more, to enrich the children's understanding and experiences.

This is also called Cultural Capital.

SCHOOL CLUBS

We have some wonderful clubs that happen here at Cotmanhay Infant and Nursery School and these are offered to pupils on a termly basis.

Mrs Meer sends out a Microsoft form each term for parents / carers to select a club for their child.

We are part of the Erewash Schools Sports Partnership and many of our clubs are linked to this.

We do not charge for any of our clubs so that all children can access them.

Examples of some of the clubs we offer are; gymnastics, dance, story, computer, mini-sports...
